US army to cancel $300m in Pakistan support over terror groups

the u.s. military says it’s cancelling $300m (£230m) in help to Pakistan over what it calls Islamabad’s failure to take motion towards militant teams.

President Donald Trump has prior to now accused Pakistan of deceiving the united states at the same time as receiving billions of dollars.

Pentagon spokesman Lt Col Koné Faulkner said the us military might intention to spend the money on other “pressing priorities”.

The move, which must be approved by US Congress, is a component of a broader suspension introduced in January.

the united states state department has criticised Pakistan, a key best friend, for failing to take care of terrorist networks operating on its soil, including the Haqqani network and the Afghan Taliban.

Even If because 2001 Pakistan has allowed its territory to be used to supply world troops during the conflict in Afghanistan, and co-operated with the West in combating some terrorists groups like al-Qaeda, analysts say it has continued to provide shelter and toughen to Afghan insurgents.

Its purpose has been to limit the influence in Afghanistan of its chief nearby rival, India.
