Chicago police have launched bodycam photos, which seems to show a man who was fatally shot via officers reaching for his gun beforehand.

Harith Augustus used to be shot multiple instances as he tried to run away on Chicago’s South Side on Saturday.

Within hours, protesters had taken to the streets amid rumours he was once unarmed, clashing with police.

The determination to unlock the video so quickly was once taken to bypass additional violence, police said.

According to CBS, Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson instructed journalists: “The community needs some answers they usually need them now. we won’t have some other night time like remaining night.”

Augustus’ dying used to be the 3rd police shooting in barely weeks, and is the newest in a string of police killings of black men, a few unarmed, which have caused outrage and ended in protests in cities across the US.

Saturday evening’s clashes with police saw protesters shouting “murderers”, throwing objects and leaping on police cars.

Officers armed with batons traded punches with the protesters, native media reviews said.

Three officers sustained minor injuries and there have been four arrests.

Saturday’s demonstration was once dispersed at approximately 22:30 native time (03:30 GMT). On Sunday, protesters lower back to march through the streets.
