After months of negotiations between the EU and the UK, a post-Brexit trade agreement was reached. The trade agreement, which will ensure equal competition between the parties, was signed today in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, after the approval of the European Union member states. EU Council President Charles Michel and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen signed the agreement today in Brussels at 9:30 am (local time). The commercial agreement ratified by the European Commission will enter into force temporarily on 1 January as it has not yet received official approval by the European Parliament. . The European Parliament is expected to ratify the deal by the end of February.
