A former WWE big name who made his name taking part in “a tremendous abomination” in the ring has been elected mayor in Tennessee.
Glenn Jacobs, who wrestling lovers will recognise better as Kane, received -thirds of the vote in Knox County, beating Democrat Linda Haney.
The 51-12 months-antique Republican ran on problems like retaining taxes low, improved infrastructure and “transparency”.
He is the second WWE superstar to win public office within the US.
Jesse Ventura was elected mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, in 1990, going on to be elected state governor in 1998.
