AN IMPRESSIVE value 7 earthquake has hit the Indonesian island of Lombok, prompting a tsunami warning.
The US Geological Survey said the quake, off the north coast of the island, struck 10km (6.21 miles) underground.
It comes per week after another quake hit the island, which is well liked by tourists, killing at least 16 other folks.
Lombok, approximately 40km (25 miles) east of Bali, attracts tourists from around the international to its beaches and hiking trails.
There had been no speedy stories of casualties, but officers issued a tsunami caution and suggested other folks to move clear of the ocean.
“Please visit a spot with upper ground, even as ultimate calm and never panicking,” Dwikorita Karnawati, head of the Indonesian Meteorology Agency told native TV.
