Aretha Franklin, ‘Queen of Soul’, dies elderly SEVENTY SIX

A move to Atlantic Data in 1966 saw Franklin paired with the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Phase, prompting some of her most soulful and fieriest performances.

By 1968 she was once popular during The Us and Europe as “Girl Soul” – a logo of black pride who gave the impression at the duvet of Time and was given an award by way of Martin Luther King.

After an eye fixed-catching cameo in cult comedy The Blues Brothers, she scored a bunch of giant hits within the eighties together with Who’s Zooming Who? and the George Michael duet I Knew You Were Ready (For Me).

She used to be presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom through President George W Bush in 2005, whilst she was once saluted for “taking pictures the hearts of tens of millions of usa citizens”.

Ten years later she decreased President Barack Obama to tears whilst she sang (You Are Making Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman at a Kennedy Heart Honours ceremony, having in the past carried out at his inauguration.
