An Enormous fireplace has broken out at the National Museum of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, the oldest scientific institution in the us of a.

Firefighters are tackling the blaze at the building, which contains greater than 20 million items in its collection.

It happened all over visiting hours, the Brazilian Globo web page reports.

The museum, which once served because the place of abode for the Portuguese Royal Family, celebrated its 2 HUNDRED-12 months anniversary in advance this 12 months.

It isn’t yet transparent if any person has been injured in the blaze.
