The Netherlands’ state-run rail company NS has agreed to set up a fee to compensate Holocaust survivors and their household for transporting Jews to a Nazi transit camp.

Its determination to “be told, honour and keep in mind that in a long-lasting method” followed a marketing campaign by way of Salo Muller, whose oldsters have been murdered at Auschwitz.

Some 107,000 Jews were taken to Westerbork and deported, principally to deaths camps at Auschwitz and Sobibor.
