Malcolm Turnbull: Australia PM’s leadership on a knife edge

Former House Affairs Minister Peter Dutton, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Treasurer Scott Morrison are seen as top contenders within the experience of a ballot.

On Thursday, Mr Turnbull stared down calls for his resignation because the problem continued to cripple his government.

Mr Turnbull instructed journalists that Australians would be “rightly appalled by means of what they are witnessing”.

He set a time limit of 12:00 local time (02:00 GMT) for his competitors to provide a letter with no less than FORTY THREE signatures.

Mr Turnbull mentioned he wouldn’t run if a contest came about.

Mr Dutton introduced an unsuccessful management challenge on Tuesday, dropping through a slim margin of 13 votes.

The previous decade has been marked by means of a sequence of management coups, with 3 sitting high ministers deposed by party rivals.

Not a single leader in contemporary times has succeeded in serving a full three-12 months time period as high minister.
