Storm Lane: Hawaii hit via flooding and landslides as storm nears

Hawaii has been hit with strong winds and torrential rain as Hurricane Lane strategies the us state, causing flash flooding and landslides.

Schools and places of work were closed as residents took shelter from the storm, which was once downgraded to category 3 energy on Thursday.

As the typhoon neared the islands of the Aloha state, it brought winds of A HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE mph (2 HUNDRED km/h) and heavy rainfall.

President Donald Trump earlier declared a state of emergency for Hawaii.

The White Area said that federal authorities had been on standby to offer improve to local and state emergency reaction efforts.

Meanwhile United Airways said it had cancelled all Friday flights to and from the main airports on Maui, the second one-greatest island.
