Several of these turtles rescued in Majorca came from the 14 so much threatened species, including the Chinese Language red-necked turtle, Madagascar radiated tortoise, and the Vietnamese pond turtle.

The research started in February 2017 after authorities discovered a shipment of a number of protected turtle species at Palma airport.
