Iran has requested the Global Court of Justice (ICJ) to boost the sanctions imposed through the u.s. after it abandoned the deal on Tehran’s nuclear programme.
Iranian lawyer Mohsen Mohebi stated the us aimed to break Iran’s economy “as seriously as conceivable” and had violated a bit-known 1955 friendship treaty.
The US is expected to argue that the sanctions don’t breach the treaty.
