Argentina notebook scandal: Driving Force main points ‘decade of bribes’

Greater Than a dozen other folks have been arrested in Argentina after notebooks have been found detailing what seem to be illicit political payments.

They have been stored by Oscar Centeno, who was employed as a driving force through a a public works professional and describe delivering luggage of money.

The notebooks cover from 2003 to 2015, while Cristina Fernández and her past due husband Néstor Kirchner were president.

Ms Fernández is but to comment on the most recent allegations.

Since President Mauricio Macri came to energy in December 2015, dozens of officers from the former management have been associated with quite a lot of corruption fees.

The newspapers printed its tale on Wednesday amid the wave of arrests.

Reporters estimate that the bills total round US$56m (£43m), but Judge Claudio Bonadio says the corruption community could reached as much as US$160m.

Ms Fernández has been called to testify ahead of a pass judgement on on August 13. As a current senator, she is immune from prosecution.

Then Again, Pass Judgement On Bonadio is preparing a proper request to strip her from her immunity, consistent with local media.

this would be his second attempt to achieve this – the previous instance used to be related to an alleged cover-up of investigations into the 1994 bombing of a Jewish centre in Buenos Aires.

She has up to now stated she is being politically persecuted via the present government, who need to distract people from the country’s financial problems.
