France’s effective soccer World Cup crew is to obtain their country’s absolute best accolade, the Légion d’Honneur, the French presidency has announced.

France defeated Croatia 4-2 in the final in Moscow on Sunday – the country’s 2nd Global Cup in two decades.

Crowds of fanatics amassed at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport on Monday to offer the group a hero’s welcome.

The avid gamers will probably be honoured with a parade at the Champs Elysees and a presidential reception.
