An Australian family has been startled awake after a kangaroo crashed its way thru a window of their home.

The residents managed to entice the marsupial in a bathroom after it “ran amok” in the house in Melbourne early on Sunday, a wildlife rescuer mentioned.

The circle of relatives used to be unharmed, however the distressed kangaroo suffered blood loss and cuts to its paws and legs.

Rescuer Manfred Zabinskas mentioned the incident may just in part be attributed to houses competing with kangaroo habitats.

After being called to the home, Mr Zabinskas found the kangaroo “fairly exhausted” within the toilet, and administered a sedative to take away it thoroughly.

He mentioned the “medium-sized” kangaroo, weighing approximately 30kg (65lb), had caused injury across the home and damaged a second window while seeking to escape.

The incident took place at the outskirts of the suburb Deer Park, just about open fields and identified kangaroo habitats.

Mr Zabinskas stated the animal can have been spooked through a canine or a passing automotive prior to leaping into the house.

“He could have been in an entire panic and in desperation simply run in the path of what might have appeared like a passage home, and simply undergone the window,” he advised the BBC.

“They do get into hassle in suburbia the place now we have urban areas expanding into the fields where they live.”

The kangaroo has won remedy and is now being cared for by a natural world rescue service.
