US President Donald Trump has rejected a proposal made by the Russian leader Vladimir Putin that Russia be allowed to question US citizens.

The White Space earlier stated it could consider it but now says Mr Trump “disagrees” with the suggestion.

The offer was once made at a summit of the 2 leaders. In go back, Mr Putin recommended he would possibly allow access to twelve Russians indicted through the US.

The idea of allowing a overseas power to quiz US citizens sparked outrage.

“it is an offer that was once made in sincerity by means of President Putin, but President Trump disagrees with it,” White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders mentioned on Thursday.

“With A Bit Of Luck President Putin will have the 12 recognized Russians come to the U.s. to end up their innocence or guilt,” she stated.

The citizens Mr Putin used to be looking for incorporated a former US ambassador to Moscow, Michael McFaul, and financier Invoice Browder.

Allowing Russian officers to interview Mr McFaul could be a contravention of the longstanding custom that overseas diplomats have criminal immunity.
