The syndrome is an auto-immune disease which attacks nerve endings where they hook up with muscle groups, stopping them from operating.

Mr Stubbs, who was identified with the illness six years in the past, has previously fundraised for the search and rescue group.

He stated: “it is the first time that i have been and i was once relatively stunned with the view that you just get there, it’s completely marvellous.”
