Oxfam GB has been banned from working in Haiti after its staff had been accused of sexual misconduct following the 2010 earthquake.
Haiti’s government stated the decision was once taken as a result of Oxfam’s “violation of its laws and serious breach of the main of human dignity”.
Oxfam stated it understood the verdict, including that the behaviour of some group of workers used to be “totally unacceptable”.
Haiti’s determination follows a temporary suspension introduced in February.
The charity said it will proceed to work in Haiti through associate members from Italy, Spain, and Quebec.
