Three kids have at least eight lives lost. Faciada moved to more than 40 wounded hospitals, some wounded were referred to hospital in the capital La Paz by helicopter.
Local media reports that the explosion happened by accident.
Every year hundreds of thousands of people are participating in the festival, which is also recognized by UNESCO.
Dance groups perform for 20 hours every year, and the carnival tail is five kilometers long.
The festival, which was banned by Spain in the 17th century, is one of Bolivia’s best-known events.
