Oxfam leader executive Mark Goldring is to stand down following the scandal regarding claims of sexual misconduct through staff in Haiti, the charity says.
Mr Goldring, who was criticised for his dealing with of the claims that help staff used prostitutes in 2011, said another person must “rebuild” the charity.
He has held the location in view that 2013 and will go away at the finish of the year.
In a statement Mr Goldring said: “This adventure will very best be led by someone bringing contemporary imaginative and prescient and energy.”
