A pilot who died after his helicopter crashed into a loch in North Uist used to be from Newburgh in Aberdeenshire, police have stated.
Peter Clunas, 59, was killed whilst his airplane went into Loch Scadavay whilst he was once finishing up paintings at a fish farm on Wednesday.
His circle of relatives has thanked the emergency services for his or her efforts on the scene of the twist of fate.
